In a surprising new partnership low cost carrier Jetstar Wednesday announced a brand new Interline partnership with full-service carrier Air France-KLM, covering the Franco-Dutch airlines entire network.
Interestingly the agreement was negotiated only under the Jetstar banner, covering all its different Asia-Pacific brands, and leaves parent company Qantas out in the lurch.
Todays announcement represents the first interline agreement that the Jetstar Group, made up of our growing networks across the Asia Pacific region, has collectively signed with another airline, said David Koczkar, said Jetstar Executive Manager Commercial.
This partnership with one of Europes most established carriers will provide new opportunities for customers to more easily travel to the almost 60 destinations across the Asia Pacific region that Jetstar serves, including through our growing Singapore hub.
This brand new agreement means that the travel trade will now be able to ticket all the destinations on the Air France and KLM global network alongside a Jetstar booking on the same ticket.
Jetstar, Jetstar Asia/Valuair and Jetstar Pacific are all covered underneath this new interline agreement.
