Thai Airways International announced it will recreate its historic first flight on the Bangkok-Hong Kong route next month as part of its 50th Anniversary celebrations.
On 1 May 2010, the carrier will operate a Nostalgic flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong using a Boeing 747-400 repainted in the original livery design of the DC-6B aircraft which flew 50 years ago on the route.
Passengers on the flight will experience everything with a pinch of nostalgia, from check-in to meal times.
They will receive an original-designed THAI boarding pass, specially tailored menu selection, Commemorative Postage Stamps and even a special commemorative THAI container which passengers dessert will be served in.
The THAI cabin crew will also be outfitted in uniforms from that period, the carrier said.
