AirAsia announced the launch of two new routes today from Miri and Tawau to Singapore with flights starting early September and promotional fares.
The carrier said its entry into the two routes aimed to serve increasing traffic between the two countries and boost tourism and trade, particularly in East Malaysia.
The low cost carrier is offering all-in-fares online at www.airasia.com from today until 19 July 2009 for travel from 9 September 2009 to 30 April 2010.
Fares will be from RM79 (SGD42) for Tawau- Singapore and from RM59 (SGD32) for Miri- Singapore.
GoHoliday, the carriers holiday arm, is also offering customers Free Rooms when booking at goholiday.airasia.com through partner hotels in Singapore.
Hotels include Concorde Hotel Singapore, Le Peranakan Boutique Hotel Singapore, Siloso Sentosa Hotel, The Metropolitan Y Hotel, Hotel Royal and Quality Hotel Singapore. Miri is the most popular tourist destination in Sarawak and is famous for its heritage sites and adventure destinations. Tawau is at the northern tip of Sabah Borneo and is the home to some of the oldest virgin forests in the world including Danum Valley.
