Malaysia Airlines release low fares

Malaysia Airlines launched Monday its Malaysia Airlines Travel Fair (MATF) for the second time this year as a part of its Global Low Fares campaign.

MATF features low fares starting from today until 5 July 2009, with fares to Singapore from RM118, to Australia from RM488, to South Asia from RM428, to Europe from RM898 and to ASEAN countries from RM198.

The carrier has also launched global deals that run until Friday, 26 June 2009. All MATF fares are for travel from 29 June until 15 December 2009.

Customers purchasing fares on the carrier’s dedicated website, malaysiaairlines.com, will be able to earn Enrich miles for the first time ever.

Every 500th customer booking online will also win a free return ticket to the same destination they purchased a ticket for.

One of the more attractive MATF offerings is that customers can travel immediately as the travel period is from.

The first MATF held this year in February generated RM100 million in sales according to the carrier’s Chairman, Tan Sri Dr Munir Majid.
