Travel waivers
Travel waivers have been issued for Mexico, China and Singapore due to influenza A (H1N1).
United is working in close cooperation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, state and local health authorities, and the Air Transport Association concerning the outbreak of the H1N1 influenza virus. We are continually evaluating our procedures based on input and guidance from those organizations in the best interests of our customers and employees.
For more information concerning H1N1, please see the health alert on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention web site. (English / Español / Chinese / Japanese / Korean)
If you will be traveling internationally in the near future, please see important international travel guidelines.
Governments and health agencies are dynamically responding to current conditions, leading several countries to implement specific arrival procedures to detect elevated body temperatures. Body temperatures above 100°F (37.8°C) may result in further medical evaluation, including quarantine.
United's fare policies provide for changes without penalty for medical reasons. We encourage you to make decisions that best fit your travel needs. |
